Conventional...or Touch-Style?
You can play with a guitar strap in conventional
horizontal position using any technique of picking,
finger-picking, or strumming. Bass can be played
normally, or with snapping or popping. (Thumb-bass
and finger-picking melody sounds fantastic!)
Standard
Bass
Instrument normally comes with standard
bass tuning in normal fourths,
making all standard bass technique available,
so walking and triad-patterns fall easy under
your fingers. (Yet standard bass has identical
note-to-fret names as other touch-style instruments,
so touch-stylists can switch easily!) Melody strings
can be standard guitar, or for touch-stylists,
tune in straight fourths (down one minor third)
to identically match other touch-style instruments,
and all two-hand relationships hold true!
